SC-217 is working on revising standards related to aeronautical databases to support the evolving ATM requirements of NextGen and SESAR. Their efforts encompass various aspects of aeronautical information, including aerodrome mapping, terrain and obstacle data, and interchange standards. The committee’s goal is to provide up-to-date and comprehensive guidance to meet the needs of the aviation industry. Their current efforts include supporting digitally derived charts.
