Clay Barber
Clay Barber is currently a Principal Engineer at Garmin International, Inc. Clay joined Garmin in 1989 as a software engineer after employment with Bendix/King and Lear Siegler. As one of Garmin’s first employees, Clay has served Garmin in multiple roles and contributed to many Garmin aviation products in such varied areas as embedded software and aeronautical database design, development, and related assurance processes, and avionics certification. Clay has coauthored 15 issued patents. Clay has represented Garmin on RTCA and other government/industry committees, and now serves as Garmin’s Program Management Committee member and Secretary of SC-242.
