Jul 8-9 – SC-135 w/WG-14, Environmental Testing, will meet in a joint virtual plenary to discuss all change proposals against sections 1-3, 8, 9, 16, 21, 22 and Appendix A to consider entering a formal Review and Comment process. The group will also discuss the remaining work needed for sections 20, 23, and 26. The next in-person joint group meeting will be in October at RTCA.

Jul 9 – SC-222 w/WG-82, Airborne Mobile Satellite (Remote) Systems (AMS(R)S), will meet virtually to continue work on MASPS DO 343E/ED-242D and MOPS DO-262G/ED-243C. They expect to approve the documents for Final Review and Comment/Open Consultation (FRAC/OC) release later this summer with publication scheduled for late 2024.

Jul 12 – SC-240 w/WG-117, Aviation Software Standards, will meet in a joint plenary after four days of working sessions hosted by Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They will give an update on the status of the new software supplement addressing COTS and Open Source use in aviation software. The group will also discuss the report outlining the work addressing topics related to DO-178C/ED-12C and related documents.

July 19 – SC-228, Minimum Performance Standards for Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, will meet at RTCA Headquarters in Washington, DC, to continue work on documents in the field of DAA and C2. The group will hear updates from each of its working groups, EUROCAE WG-105, and the FAA in regard to the usage of SC-228’s MASPS and MOPS.

Jul 23-25 – SC-230, Airborne Weather Detection Systems, will be hosted by The Boeing Company in Seattle, WA, to continue work on task “Perform Analysis and Test to Determine Susceptibility of Airborne Weather Radar Systems to Radio Frequency Interference” to include in a White Paper to be completed late this year.

Jul 29-Aug 2 – SC-223 w/WG-108, Internet Protocol Suite, will meet in a joint plenary at RTCA in Washington, DC to resolve comments received on the IPS Profiles update to DO-379A/ED-262A. The group plans to meet the entire week but will adjourn plenary when all business is complete.

Aug 1 – SC-242 w/WG-124, Spectrum Compatibility, will meet in a joint plenary session at RTCA in Washington DC. The group will continue progress on their second RTCA Report and their guidance document.
