“As we continue to pursue our goal of ensuring our stakeholder’s success given the changing demands of the overall aviation landscape, I couldn’t be more exited to have Gregg join our elite group of board members,” said Terry Mcvenes, RTCA president and chief executive officer. His long-standing expertise and reputation in our community will bring strong domestic and international perspectives to our overall strategy and business.”

Other members of the RTCA Board of Directors include Steve Brown (National Business Aviation Association), Lorne Cass (Aero NowGen Solutions), Melissa Rudinger (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), Todd Zarfos (The Boeing Company), Nate Boelkins (Collins Aerospace), and Michael Ingram (Honeywell Aerospace).

Leone joined MITRE in 1983 and has spent his career helping to make aviation safer and more efficient in the United States and abroad. In his current role, he leads MITRE’s overall domestic and international civil aviation, aviation/aerospace, and transportation strategy and business operations. In addition, Leone is a member of the NextGen Advisory Committee, which provides independent advice and recommendations to the FAA. He has also led MITRE’s aviation work in Canada, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions. This effort led to the establishment of new partnerships and relationships, including MITRE’s first international research and development facility in Singapore.

“We are pleased to welcome Gregg as a new director to the RTCA board,” said RTCA Board Chair Steve Brown. “His addition will bring added insights as we continue to execute RTCA’s long-term strategy in serving the aviation community.”
