An instrument-rated pilot for more than 20 years, electric vehicle driver for more than 15 years, early recipient of a Part 107 remote pilot certificate, and recent recipient of a commercial pilot certificate, Brian Wynne possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in transportation and technology applications that he has gained through various leadership roles with industry associations and public-private partnerships. Since January 2015, Brian Wynne has served as the president and CEO of the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world’s largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics. Passionate about all things uncrewed, Wynne is a member of several committees and initiatives that aim to push the unmanned systems industry forward, including the Advanced Aviation Advisory Committee (AAAC), which is a group of key decision-makers formed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to support the safe introduction of drones and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) into the nation’s airspace. Wynne is also a member of the FAA’s Management Advisory Council (MAC).  The MAC advises the FAA’s senior management on policy, spending, long-range planning, and regulatory matters. Before joining AUVSI, Wynne was the president and CEO of the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA). Prior to his time at EDTA, Wynne was senior vice president for business and trade at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITSA).
