Washington, DC, July 20, 2020 -RTCA, Inc. announced today the appointment of Gregg Leone, MITRE’s vice president and director of the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development (CAASD) to the RTCA Board of Directors. This appointment is effective July 16, 2020.

Other members of the RTCA Board of Directors include Steve Brown (National Business Aviation Association), Lorne Cass (Aero NowGen Solutions), Melissa Rudinger (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), Todd Zarfos (The Boeing Company), Nate Boelkins (Collins Aerospace), and Michael Ingram (Honeywell Aerospace).
Leone joined MITRE in 1983 and has spent his career helping to make aviation safer and more efficient in the United States and abroad. In his current role, he leads MITRE’s overall domestic and international civil aviation, aviation/aerospace, and transportation strategy and business operations. In addition, Leone is a member of the NextGen Advisory Committee, which provides independent advice and recommendations to the FAA. He has also led MITRE’s aviation work in Canada, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific regions. This effort led to the establishment of new partnerships and relationships, including MITRE’s first international research and development facility in Singapore.
