This Privacy Policy applies to the websites [rtca.org and my.rtca.org] (the “Sites”), which are owned and operated by RTCA, Inc. (“RTCA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). RTCA has developed this Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) because we know you care about your personal privacy and about the terms and conditions that govern your use of these Sites. This Policy describes the information that we collect when you use and access the Sites, how we (or our trusted third-party service providers) use it and how and under what circumstances we share that information. This Policy does not apply to information collected in any other way, such as offline communications.
When you submit information to or through the Sites, you consent to the collection and processing of your information as described in this Policy. By accessing the Sites, you are accepting all terms and conditions outlined below.
The Sites are not designed for or targeted at children under the age of 13. RTCA does not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 through the Sites. If we discover that a child under the age of 13 has submitted personally identifiable information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information.

The Personal Information We Collect About You
RTCA collects personally identifiable information about you when you voluntarily supply information through the Sites that personally identifies you and/or allows us to contact you, including any and all materials submitted by you.
This applies when:
1. Fill out a membership application form
2. Sign up to join our email list on our website
3. Create an individual profile to:
a. Purchase products
b. Sign up for training courses and/or events
c. Make an online payment
“Personally identifiable information” means information associated with or used to identify or contact you. Please see table below to view the types of information we collect.
This information is collected and stored in the United States. If you do not wish for your personal information to be stored in the United States, then you should not submit this information to us. If you choose to submit this personal information to us, you agree and consent that this information may be transmitted to and stored in the United States, subject to the terms of this privacy policy.
Cookie Policy
When you use the Sites, we may automatically collect certain non-identifying information about you or “Usage Data”, such as your movement about the Sites, the type of browser or operating system you use, or the domain name of the website from which you linked to the Sites. We use the information that we collect to operate, improve and personalize the Sites and to provide customer service. Our Sites also uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). 2.Disclosing Your Information to Third Parties/Onward Transfer
Any information we gather, whether voluntarily provided by you or automatically collected, may be used for our internal business and marketing purposes but will not be sold, rented, shared or otherwise disclosed to third parties for any purposes, except as stated below.
We treat the information you submit through our Sites as confidential. We collect and process personal information for our legitimate interests consistent with applicable law, including to perform services requested by you. We include contractual requirements for these entities that require them to use your personally identifiable information only to the extent necessary to assist us and are required to protect the information. Additionally, we may share personally identifiable information (e.g., contact information) about you if you are your company’s representative through our members only directory with other members.
Notwithstanding any other statements or representations in this Policy or elsewhere on our Sites, we reserve the right to disclose any information in our possession if we are required to do so by law or we believe, in good faith, that such a disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, defend our rights or property, or to respond to an emergency.
3. Security
We implement reasonable physical, technical and administrative safeguards designed to maintain the safety of the personal information that you submit. However, the security of information transmitted through the internet can never be guaranteed. We (like all websites) cannot warrant or guarantee 100% security of any information you transmit to us on this Sites.
4. Data Retention
We will only retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. In compliance with GDPR, you have the right to request to anonymize your data with your financial information retain as required by law. The financial information cannot be used to identify you as the constituent once your data have been anonymized.
5. Third Party Links
These Sites may contain links to websites maintained by third parties with whom we have no affiliation. This Policy does not reflect the privacy practices of those sites, and you should consult the privacy policies of those sites to learn about their practices. A link to any third-party site does not mean that we endorse it, or the quality or accuracy of information presented on it.

7. Your rights in Connection with these sites
Under laws in certain countries in which we operate, individuals have a right to access Personal Information about themselves, and to amend, correct or delete Personal Information that is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. We will, on request, provide an Individual with confirmation regarding whether we are processing Personal Information about them, consistent with applicable law. In addition, upon request of an Individual, we may take reasonable steps to correct, amend, or delete their Personal Information that is found to be inaccurate, incomplete or processed in a manner non-compliant with this Policy or applicable law, except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to that Individual’s privacy, where the rights of persons other than the Individual would be violated or where doing so is otherwise consistent with applicable law. Unless prohibited by applicable law, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover costs for providing copies of Personal Information requested by Individuals.
Although we make good faith efforts to provide Individuals with access to their Personal Information, there may be circumstances in which we are unable to provide access, including but not limited to: where the information contains legal privilege, would compromise others’ privacy or other legitimate rights, where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the Individual’s privacy in the case in question or where it is commercially proprietary. If we determine that access should be restricted in any particular instance, we will provide you with an explanation of why that determination has been made and a contact point for any further inquiries. To protect your privacy, we will take commercially reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to or making any changes to your Personal Information.

8. RECOURSE, ENFORCEMENT AND LIABILITY

Any Personnel that we determine is in violation of this Policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment, where applicable.

If you do not agree to any of these provisions, you should not use these Sites or any RTCA benefits, services, or products.
The Effective Date of this Policy is set forth at the top of this Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time, for any reason, without notice to you, other than the posting of the amended Policy, and its effective date, on this page. For this reason, you should regularly review this Policy and note the effective date. Your continued use of the Site after the Effective Date constitutes your acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy. The amended Privacy Policy supersedes all previous versions.

Prior to downloading an electronic RTCA Document, whether purchased or downloaded at no charge as an RTCA member, you will be asked to review and accept the following agreement.
BY PURCHASING PASSWORD ACCESS TO RTCA DOCUMENTS YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE PURCHASED ONLY THE RIGHT TO ACCESS, DOWNLOAD, AND PRINT ONE COPY OF THE ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT AND THE ASSOCIATED SEARCHABLE DOCUMENT FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE AND NOT FOR RESALE, TRANSFER, OR DISTRIBUTION TO ANY THIRD PARTY.
- YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT MAKE ANY ADDITIONAL COPIES OF THIS DOCUMENT, ELECTRONIC OR OTHERWISE, NOR ALLOW OTHERS TO ACCESS THE SEARCHABLE ELECTRONIC VERSION BY PROVIDING THEM LOCATION OR PASSWORD INFORMATION. COPYING THE ELECTRONIC FILE IN ANY FORM IS A VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT AS WELL AS U.S. COPYRIGHT LAW AND IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- IF ADDITIONAL COPIES ARE DESIRED, YOU MUST PURCHASE ADDITIONAL LICENSES FROM RTCA, SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS OUTLINED IN PARAGRAPHS (4) AND (5)
- THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DOCUMENTS THAT CAN BE DOWNLOADED ON A YEARLY BASIS THROUGH AN RTCA MEMBERSHIP IS AS FOLLWS:
- LEVEL 1 MEMBERS – 20 DOCUMENTS
- LEVEL 2 MEMBERS – 30 DOCUMENTS
- LEVEL 3 MEMBERS – 50 DOCUMENTS
- ALL OTHER LEVELS OF MEMBERSHIP – NO RESTRICTION
- ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS REQUIRED BEYOND THE YEARLY LIMITS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE RTCA STORE AT THE NON-MEMBER RATE. DOWNLOADING ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS BEYOND THE YEARLY LIMITATIONS WITHOUT PURCHASING THEM THROUGH THE RTCA STORE WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING BILLED AT THE NON-MEMBER RATE FOR EACH DOCUMENT DOWNLOADED
- REGARDLESS OF YOUR MEMBERSHIP LEVEL, THE TOTAL NUMBER OF DOCUMENTS THAT CAN BE PURCHASED IS LIMITED TO 20 DOCUMENTS PER DAY.
- COPYRIGHT VIOLATIONS AND ANY BREACH OF THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT WILL RESULT IN THE CANCELATION OF YOUR RTCA MEMBERSHIP AND WILL BE PROSECUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW.
