SC-147 has played a significant role in advancing aviation safety by defining and updating performance standards for TCAS and TCAS II. The committee has worked on the development of ACAS X, which consists of ACAS Xa (a replacement for TCAS II) and ACAS Xo (supporting advanced in-flight services). Additionally, the committee has completed work on ACAS Xu for Unmanned Aircraft Systems and ACAS sXu for Small UAS. The committee is currently working on ACAS Xr for rotorcraft and AAM/UAM applications.
